Consider which dog appears compatible with your household rather than choosing on appearance alone.
Submit an application
Tell us about your household, home, lifestyle, current pets, dog experience and adoption preferences.
Application review
RRLA reviews the information provided and may contact you with questions or to discuss potential matches.
Meet & compatibility assessment
When appropriate, you meet the dog and we continue assessing whether the match makes sense for both sides.
Adoption & ongoing support
Once approved and matched, the dog goes home with you. RRLA remains available for post-adoption support.
Before you apply
Adoption is a commitment to the dog for life.
Our application is detailed because we want the home and the dog to be compatible. Honest information helps us make responsible recommendations.

- Include accurate information about current pets and dog experience
- Consider temperament and compatibility, not appearance alone
- Allow time for review, conversations and meetings
- If an adoption does not work out, the dog must return to RRLA
After adoption
You are not on your own once your dog comes home.
RRLA provides follow-up assistance for the life of the dog. If circumstances change or an adoption cannot continue, contact the rescue rather than independently rehoming the dog.
